Walk-in Lisbon

The Lisbon Portela Airport is the main international gateway into Portugal. TAP is the national Portuguese airline, though several low-cost airlines (including Easyjet, Raynair, Vueling) also fly into the city. We advise if you want to discover more of Lisbon, use the subway, buses, taxis, and shuttles, using them you will be connected to all major places in Lisbona and you can come from the airport to downtown Lisbon using the public transportation network.

Within Lisbon, the transportation options include buses, subways, taxis, Uber, Cabify, trains, and the classic yellow trams that can take you to the historic areas of Lisbon.

The easiest move is to put money on a travel card (Viva Viagem) and use this for every form of transportation.

By train, you can visit beaches and villas, including Sintra and Cascais. The riverboats enable you to cross the river and see Lisbon from the other side. Be sure to check out the famous municipal elevators like Lavra or Santa Justa: historic lift systems that make more easy to go up on the historic hills of Lisbon
